ABATE Veterans' Day Bike Parade
Hello, Brothers and Sisters--
I hope all of you had a very Happy Veterans Day today, and to my
fellow Veterans, Thank You for your Service, and Welcome Home!! I want to express my
heartfelt appreciation for your support in attending our successful 13th Annual ABATE
Veterans' Day Run to the Oklahoma Veterans' Memorial Park. The last bike count we came up
with was 485 motorcycles and trikes, not counting cages. With many bikers riding two-up,
we had over 500 members of Oklahoma's Riding Family participate. A number of our Riding
Community showed up after attending Veterans' Day Services at the 45th Infantry Division
Museum as well. Many thanks to all the outriders for helping to keep us safe, to Ed
Glendinning and Pastor Pickle for their inspiring prayers and spiritual guidance, and to
the American Legion Riders Post #1340 and Ladies' Auxiliary for the logistical support,
the hot dog/chili dog cookout, and the delicious Bake Sale goodies! Donations from the
after-party are going to the American Legion Children's Home, a very worthwhile cause.
Thanks also to Charley's Last Stand and new owner Linda Murphy for the tremendous
hospitality and providing the live music. I'm supremely glad for everyone's working
together to make this a safe and enjoyable event honoring the service and sacrifice of our
Armed Forces members and their families. Thanks very much for attending, and I very much
look forward to seeing all of you at ABATE's Memorial Day Bike Parade in 2010. You'll be
able to recognize me--I'll be the bearded, smiling fat guy astride Orca, my big, white
Road King!

The Oklahoma City Motorcycle Swap Meets are held at The State Fair Park, in Oklahoma City.
The park is located at 500 Land Rush Drive, near the intersection of 10th Street and I-44,
in downtown Oklahoma City. All Oklahoma City meets are held indoors in a heated and air
conditioned building.
There is a snack bar with beer sales in the building. General admission is $5.00 per
person. The event is open to the public from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and is held regardless of
weather.

Oklahoma Sports Park Flat Track Racing
Gate open at 5 p.m. & races start at 7 p.m.
Oklahoma Sports Park Winter racing season, which will have divisions for Karts, Quads,
Lawn Mowers and Motorcycles, will be back this Saturday, Nov. 7 with round 2 of the 2009 -
2010 Winter Season. There will be classes for both kids and adults. Gates open at 5 p.m.
and racing will start some time after 7 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for kids
ages 11 to 15 & Senior Citizens. Children ages 10-and-under are admitted free.
Oklahoma Sports Park Winter Racing will be held in the big barn beside the dirt track
which is located 10 miles northwest of Ada on SH 3W.
* All Pro Classes are 100% Payback.
* Amateur Classes are trophy.
* Pit passed are $20.00
* Senior Citizens- Free

8th Annual Shawnee Toy Run - (In Memory of Harold Thompson)
Shawnee's 8th annual toy run is scheduled this
year for Sunday, Dec. 13th, 2009.
Line up will begin at Sehorn Yamaha, 603 W. Independence, Shawnee Okla. and the parade
will begin at 1pm. The parade will start at Sehorn Yamaha and wind through Shawnee ending
at the Elks Lodge. ENTRY FEE to the parade is a New Unwrapped
toy. There will be food and drinks available at the Elks Lodge along with

Oklahoma Sports Park Flat Track Racing
Gate open at 5 p.m. & races start at 7 p.m.
Oklahoma Sports Park Winter racing season, which will have divisions for Karts, Quads,
Lawn Mowers and Motorcycles, will be back this Saturday, Nov. 7 with round 2 of the 2009 -
2010 Winter Season. There will be classes for both kids and adults. Gates open at 5 p.m.
and racing will start some time after 7 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for kids
ages 11 to 15 & Senior Citizens. Children ages 10-and-under are admitted free.
Oklahoma Sports Park Winter Racing will be held in the big barn beside the dirt track
which is located 10 miles northwest of Ada on SH 3W.
* All Pro Classes are 100% Payback.
* Amateur Classes are trophy.
* Pit passed are $20.00
* Senior Citizens- Free

"Family Safe Events for Motorcycle &
Scooter Riders!"
Although not really a club in the traditional sense, but if you ride
a motorcycle, trike, scooter, moped, whether it be a sport bike, cruiser, dirt bike,
trials, MX, etc. you are member of this club. We invite all riders from all
disciplines or types of riding to come and share dinner and stories with us. No hassles
because you don't ride the right brand or style of bike.
Our Thursday night rides stick to the Oklahoma City
metro for destinations and are planned to allow small motorcycles and scooters to
participate. Thursday nights we meet at the Del City Homeland parking lot
(SE 29th & Sunnylane) near the big sign on South side (SE 29th side) and ride to the
destination as a group at 6:45 PM. All others can meet us at our destination about
7:15 PM.
Our Saturday
evening or Sunday afternoon rides are better
suited for motorcycles and scooters capable of maintaining speeds up to 70 mph. Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons we meet at Oklahoma Honda Suzuki, 3400 S. Sunnylane in Del City.
