Shane Carson started his racing career with motorcycles when he was 17, where he won the State Motorcross Championship for 125cc Amateur Division.

Shane's auto racing career began in 1973 with a bang, winning rookie of the year honors while driving modifieds.

Since 1989 Shane has driven for James Helms of Dallas, TX and has many feature wins while racing with the World of Outlaw circuit, NCRA, and ASCS sanctioning bodies.

Shane is currently a driver for the Richard Petty Driving Experience and can be found at various NASCAR tracks all over the country.

1978:  24 Feature wins with Bob Trostle

1978:  Knoxville & Iowa Point Titles

1978/79:  NSCA Point Championship

1978/79:  Eldora Finale World of Outlaw Race

World of Outlaw Points:  1982, 3rd; 1983 5th

1986:  1986 NCRA Point Championship

NCRA Points:  Finished Top 5 past 9 years he raced with them.
